Fluxbox Windowmanger configuration in Debian

What is FluxBox?

Fluxbox is yet another windowmanager for X. It's based on the Blackbox 0.61.1 code. Fluxbox looks like blackbox and handles styles, colors, window placement and similar thing exactly like blackbox (100% theme/style compability).

Fluxbox Installation in Debian

# apt-get install fluxbox

Running Fluxbox session

You can use xdm to go to fluxbox. Install xdm

# apt-get install xdm

Enter as root user and in the xterminal type

#startfluxbox or #fluxbox

If you close the xterminal, fluxbox finishes ( If you want to close X Window System pres CTRL + ALT + DELete ).

If you are using GNOME run the following commands to start fluxbox

#gnome-session or #startx

All the Fluxbox config files are stored in the .fluxbox dir in your /home directory.for more details and check the fluxbox documentation
